Taught by highly regarded practicing artist Julia Hawkins this is the perfect course for beginners and for those who would like to improve their basic skills or are new to oil painting. Students will enjoy a structured course, enabling them to learn about colour, tone, texture and form. There will be opportunity to work on still-life, landscape and figure painting. Classes will be studio based with occasional landscape painting en plein air, if the weather is suitable. Models will be present for the classes on figure painting.

Julia Hawkins is a prize-winning contemporary figurative artist based in Surrey, UK. Her works, highly regarded by colleagues and collectors alike, are frequently exhibited with The Federation of British Artists.
